Welcome
The staff at the Ida Karlin Healing Center for Youth and I are committed to the health of children. This involves much more than simply prescribing medication. Well-child care is the backbone of children's health. A child's growth and development is the essential ingredient of a healthy life.
My care, in order for it to be successful, must address the child as a healthy and growing person looking toward the realization of his or her rich potential. We must do this together: you as the responsible parent; I as one member of the health care team.
Raising children is a challenging task. I invite you to accept the challenge; to make the commitment to be a more effective parent. Take care of your own needs so that our next generation, the one entrusted to our care as parents and providers, may be a better one, a happier one, and a healthier one. This is our task, yours and mine.
I look forward to working with you to providing the best care possible for your children.
Ovidio Peñalver, MD
